Sea Otter Classic - March 22-25, 2001 - Monterey, California photos by Mark Shimahara - psychlists.com click to enlarge
Sunday, January 28, 2001 Elizabeth Marta and Frankie Jr. Just a quick note to proudly announce that my wife went through 26 hours of pain to give us a brand new, fresh off the shelf, beautiful baby girl. SHE requires no batteries but does everything from poop to cry. SHE even came equipped with a full head of hair. At checkout she weighed in at 7lbs. 6oz. The receipt will say that her name is Elizabeth ???? Andreu. The ??? marks are still to be determined. Since it was a blowout sale there are no returns. We are hoping that there will be no compatibility problems with our 20 month old boy. Thanks for your thoughts...frankie and Betsy January Training Camp in Tucson, Arizona
Tuesday, December 26 from usps pro cycling "Frankie's experience and knowledge will be a welcome addition to the management side of the team," said Director of Operations Dan Osipow. "It's great that we're able to keep him involved with the team even though he's retired from riding. Frankie will support a more active domestic racing schedule for the team during the 2001 season." Friday, December 22
After racing nine Tours de France and spending eleven years as a European professional I have decided to retire. After the highlights
of the last two years my thoughts were that I should retire while I'm still at the top. As much as I will miss racing I am looking forward to many
new opportunities. My first line of attack will be as the American Director for the US Postal Service team. This is a position I've always had the utmost respect
for and I hope to earn the respect and leadership of the riders. To all that have supported my racing career I cannot express my gratitude enough.
This is a special sport with many special people. It's been a privilege to work with all of you and I hope to continue our relationship into the
future.
